How to set up the Standby list for online bookings?

ResDiary allows guests to add themselves to an online standby list on a specific date/time for a number of covers limit.

The online Standby list feature allows restaurants to contact the diner's who have added themselves to the Standby list if availability opens up. This feature allows restaurants to maximise the availability and increase customer satisfaction.

The video below shows the online customer journey for adding themselves to the standby list.
To activate the online standby list in your ResDiary please go to Settings >> Diary Configuration >> Online Settings >> Tick the box for ''Allow Customers to Add Themselves to Standby List'' > Save

Manage the Standby list availability

Yield Management: The online Table Plus widget will only offer standby slots to 50% of your maximum yield management setting within each of your services.
To set the yield management please go to Settings > Services > Edit the service > Yield management, please see below:

In this example, this venue is accepting 10 covers per time slot once the time slot is full, then the standby list is activated - a maximum of 5 guests will be able to join the standby list for each time slot that is fully booked.
Close outs: The standby list can't override the closeout rule in your ResDiary which means if you have closed out completely on specific date, no guests will be able to add themselves to the standby list for that date.  Equally, if you close out a service or particular time slot, guests will not be able to add themselves to the standby list for these dates, services or timeslots.

Icon 4 - Mark No show

This button allows you to Mark this booking as No show.
Note: this option only appears on the day of arrival, not for future dates.

Icon 5 - Delete Option

Icon 6 - Notify Guest Option

This icon allows you to send an email to the guest notifying them a table has become available and they can book now. This make them clear that this email does not mean they have reservation and they will need to make a new reservation based on availability that has recently become available.
